Question:

The role of an Independent Contractor is different from an employee. You are required to run your own business while contracting out your skills to us at Imagine Counselling. This can feel like hard work since most of us have not had formal training in building a business. It requires a variety of responsibilities including such things as: having a website, networking with other professionals to garner referrals, taking care of taxes and business expenses, etc. Do you feel that you are up to the challenge? How much support do you feel you would need in this area?

Question:

While associates are Independent Contractors, they are representatives of our brand and values. Therefore, it is important that all of our associates fundamentally share similar values. At Imagine Counselling we believe in and value a person-centred, collaborative, culturally-informed and trauma-informed approach to counselling and practice. What are your primary values as a clinical practitioner?

Question:

A core value at Imagine Counselling is that each of our practitioners is able to work from a trauma-informed approach. What does that term mean to you and how does it influence the way you work with your clients?

Question:

Independent Contractors with Imagine Counselling must adhere to the BCACC Code of Ethical Practice with a strong value of Principle 1: Respect for the Dignity of all persons and Peoples. Describe how you would/or currently reflect this principle in your practice.

Question:

Describe some important features of an intake process.
